Well, I came from a tropical country where the climate alternates between super-hot and irritatingly wet so I was really mesmerized by the whole Spring-Summer-Autumn-Winter thing. Well, summer — not so much. Lagi naman summer sa ‘Pinas. Plus I missed the recent summer here because I was cooped up inside the Jikei University Hospital [Private Gallery: Jikei Daisan Byouin Experience].
Anyway, SNOW! Haha. It’s just plain aesthetics, man. But it’s sort of magical to watch those white fluffy things fall down from the sky. Hay, I have nothing more to say. I’ve seen it. Moment over. Let’s get on with our merry lives.
Here are links to my first season cycle:
1. Spring – sakura (cherry blossoms) in full bloom for a week.
2. Summer – no pics argh.
3. Autumn – yellow leaves along Kotta river, enjoying the pretty colors at Mount Takao here and here and here.
4. Winter – First snow sighting ever. Took more pictures before all the white powdery goodness turned to slush.
I’ve lived all my life in places that had very distinct four seasons, and all I can say is, snow? The magic faded once I had any kind of commute (which was since I was, what, sixteen?). OMFG SNOW AND TRAFFIC IS JUST EW.
I can’t really say anything about commuting but I WAS WALKING when it snowed. Bloody cold, I’m telling ya.
Once is enough for me. It’s cool if you’re like inside and warm and you’re just looking out through the window.
